This past spring semester, I was tasked with creating a modest swimsuit. The silhouette had to be based off of a 1950-60s bathing suit, and would not expose my models body parts.
For my swimsuit, based it off of gown that Actress Lena Horne wore in the movie " Till The Clouds Roll By". The gown was a lavender purple, with ruffles, and she wore a big purple flower in her hair.
For my swimsuit, I used a lavender spandex to create the top and bottoms. Then I used a dark purple spandex to create a wrap around skirt so that if the person wearing the swimsuit I make, they have the option to have an extra layer so that they don't feel as self-conscious.
