Coterie

Last Thursday, I had the honor of being able to go to the Coterie Trade show in New York. I was able to discover new clothing brands from all around the world that I had never knew about, and talk in depth with the creators of these brands about their creative processes, their story behind their brand, and future goals they might have for the upcoming seasons.

My favorite brands that I visited were Christie Brown ( a Ghanaian womanswear brand), Asantii ( a Ghanaian womanswear brand), and Untourage ( a Texas based Denim brand). These brands were build and are ran by beautiful and intelligent black women; through discussions with these women about their brands and creative goals, I've grown even more inspired to open my own brand and join these amazing women as a part of the fashion industry.
