Men's Fashion Week In Paris

One of my greatest accomplishments was getting chosen to study abroad for two weeks in Paris France for Men's Fashion Week. It was an amazing opportunity that I will never forget. During this trip, I had the privilege of working behind the scenes of a runway show as a dresser for designer Walter Van Beirendonck. While I didn't get to see much of the show, the clothing was amazing and not what I was used to seeing here in America. Mr. Beirendonck himself was very nice, and was kind enough to take a break from interviews to chat with my study abroad group and take a picture with us.

Being behind the scenes of a runway show gave me a lot of insight into how much it's like a machine. There are different people who all work together to make these show not only run smoothly, but also help present a designer's collection in a way that intruige buyers and inspires the audience.

I have to give thanks to my professors who were gracious enough to choose me to go on this trip, and the students who were chosen to go work this show with me. It was an experience. I will never forget or take for granted.
